The Town of Silt has recently completed a significant infrastructure project with the opening of a new water treatment plant. This $28 million facility replaces the previous decades-old plant, aiming to provide residents with cleaner and more reliable water.
Town Manager Jim Mann highlighted the necessity of this upgrade, noting that the old plant was no longer sufficient to meet the community’s needs. The new plant is expected to address previous issues with water quality and ensure a consistent supply for the growing population.
While the investment is substantial, town officials believe it is a crucial step toward improving the quality of life in Silt. Residents can look forward to enhanced water services as the new plant becomes fully operational.
