In response to continuing drought conditions, the Town of Silt has enacted Level Two water restrictions to conserve water resources. These mandatory measures include:
- Outdoor watering is limited to 24 minutes per property.
- Even-numbered addresses may water on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays; odd-numbered addresses on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
- No watering is permitted on Fridays.
- Watering is prohibited between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on any day.
Residents seeking more information can visit the town’s official website.
Additionally, Silt is investing $28 million in a new water treatment plant to replace the decades-old facility, aiming to improve water quality and infrastructure. Town Manager Jim Mann emphasized the importance of this upgrade for the community’s future.
These initiatives reflect Silt’s commitment to sustainable water management and infrastructure improvement amid challenging environmental conditions.
